Multi-region distribution of petroleum products in large quantities by a heterogeneous vehicles fleet

In this paper, we continue addressing the multi-region distribution problem of petroleum products in large quantities involving the use of a fleet of tankers parked in depots. This heterogeneous fleet consists of vehicles owned by the company or of renting, non-compartmentalized and without volumeters, to serve customers from removal sites. The objective is to minimize transportation cost while streamlining the number of vehicles. This work is an extension of the article on the same issue [3]. It extends the mathematical model by taking into account the displacements in departure and in the return of depots. This paper presents a mixed linear programming model and samples are afterwards solved using a mathematical programming solver.
